January 18, 2006

CPM, the world’s leading equipment provider for particle size reduction and pellet agglomeration, has acquired Century Extrusion, from Century, Inc., Traverse City, Michigan. The acquisition adds Century Extrusion’s industry leading extrusion equipment and parts to the CPM product line.

“This expansion of our product line will help our process equipment customers maximize their profitability,” said Ted Waitman, CPM president. “We are committed to helping our customers achieve the lowest possible operating costs through the equipment, parts and services we offer.”

Century Extrusion is a leader in extrusion equipment and parts for the twin-screw extrusion industry in North America.

“We plan to build upon Century’s excellent sales, service, distribution and engineering capabilities,” Waitman said. “Extrusion industry customers will benefit from the expertise of our Beta Raven automation and process control solutions team.”

“The sale gives Century the opportunity to redeploy assets to our core business of specialty metal products that serve the aircraft, energy, defense and exotic metal industries,” said William Janis, Century Inc. chairman.

CPM serves the feed milling industries under its California Pellet Mill, Roskamp Champion, and Beta Raven brands. CPM operates plants in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
