ILDEX India Aquaculture 2009

ILDEX India Aquaculture 2009 will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, July 02-04, 2009.

In 2008, ILDEX set a record of 142 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors from 17 countries. In the 3rd edition the organizers say they expect more than 200 exhibitors and more than 17000 visitors from 18 countries and from within India.

India has a traditional base in aquaculture and stands second in aqua ulture and third in captive fisheries in Asia. MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) has an ambitious target of achieving US $3 billion through sea food export during next five years.
Growth of organized F&G retail has also created the demand for improved logistics, warehousing, state-of-the art technology and availability of quality processed and packaged food.

Marine Food Parks & Agricultural Special Economic Zones are already being worked out to ensure that farmers are not displaced. ILDEX INDIA 2009 shall provide a common platform for all these.
