The Triott Group will broadcast its first FeedForward webazine of 2022 next month, focusing on how feed manufacturers can leverage the very latest in production technology and know-how to more profitably serve local markets at mid-sized volumes.

Called Scaling up for success, this episode is hosted by Ottevanger Milling Engineers and will be broadcast on April 7 at 11 am CET. Viewers will learn how it’s possible to lower the threshold for local feed production without necessarily having to invest in a full-blown turnkey feed mill installation.

In particular, this latest FeedForward will explore the containerized feed mill, Modumill, a fast and agile technology that delivers outstanding return on investment coupled with the best in Dutch engineering quality. Developed by Ottevanger more than 50 years ago, there are more than 100 of these modular feed mills in operation today around the world in 45 countries, spread across four continents (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America).

The episode will also include:

  • An overview of the containerized mill and how it works, from Ottevanger area sales manager for Latin America, Doeke Oosterbaan.
  • A deep dive on how to choose the right option, tailored to the specific needs of the individual feed mill, from Ottevanger area sales manager for Asia, Paul Eijmberts.
  • A high-level overview of the containerized concept and its value to customers from Ottevanger’s head of sales, Dennis Tijdink.

“As a long-term strategic partner to the feed industry, our goal at Ottevanger is always to find flexible solutions that enable our customers to scaleup their business in the most efficient way possible. The Modumill is just one of these options. We invented the concept in 1971 and have spent the past 50 years perfecting it, so we are looking forward to sharing these insights and experiences with viewers in this upcoming FeedForward,” Tijdink said.

As with previous episodes, viewers will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the broadcast via live stream, which the Ottevanger team will answer on an individual basis following the transmission, either directly or via social media. Later in the year, Triott plans to broadcast a follow-up FeedForward episode that focuses on the various aspects of conventional turnkey feed mill design, construction and operation.
