Ohad Maiman, founder and CEO of the Kingfish Company, and Thue Holm, founder and former CTO of Atlantic Saphire, established a venture capital firm, AquaFounders Capital.

“AquaFounders Capital, a land-based focused fund, aims to leverage our unique first-hand experience in the sector to support the cutting edge of the sector across the value chain, ranging from technology (precision farming/software/genetics) to hardware (improved efficiency and reliability of critical RAS components), and unique farming business cases (high-value species deployed at the right market),” said Maiman in a LinkedIn post.

“Having spent most of the last decade engaged in key positions in the formation of The Kingfish Company and Atlantic Sapphire has provided a unique vantage point for AquaFounders Capital to identify and evaluate the most critical challenges and solutions required for the land-based sector to mature and scale, providing a unique opportunity for investors seeking exposure to the sector,” the company said.
