Alltech and Naca announce dates of 2006 Shrimp Health Management Training Workshop

Alltech and the Network of Aquaculture Centers in Asia-Pacific (NACA) will hold the next Shrimp Health Management Training Workshop on 24th – 29th of July, 2006 in Thailand.

 

“Modern shrimp farming places ever greater demands on producers as increased requirement and volatile prices force them to re-eveluate production technologies to comptete.”, Daniel Fegan-Regional Technical Manager Aquaculture of Alltech Inc, said about the content of the course,” More attention to postlarval quality and biosecurity, better cost control and better environmental management are now central to todays’s shrimp production business”.

 

Last year the Shrimp Health Management Training Workshop was fully booked in advance with a maximum of 50 participants. The course ran for five-and-a-half days including three-and-a-half days at workshop in Bangkok and 2 days at farm.

 

The cost is USD 550 comprising the course fee, materials and accommodation during the field trip. Accomodation options in Bangkok and reservation details can be provided via shrimp-school@alltech.com.
