Madrid meeting aims to create framework for international cooperation

Participants throughout the aquaculture supply chain are invited to attend The Aquaculture Brokerage Event in Madrid, Spain, from November 27 to 28, 2007
This free event is being organized by the Spanish Secretariat-General for Maritime Fisheries, INNOVAMAR, the Spanish Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and the Spanish Oceanography Institute (IEO).  English/Spanish/English translation service will be provided

The overriding objective of the meeting is, to provide a new framework for the establishment of transnational technological and entrepreneurial collaboration schemes within the Spanish, European, Latin American and Canadian aquaculture industries, in the context of the Spanish Aquaculture International Action Plan 2007/2008.

At the end of each of four themetic session, participants will be encouraged to participate actively in the debate in order to lay the foundations for developing possible collaboration agreements during the one-to-one meetings that are the core of the event. It is expected that during these meetings that participants will have the opportunity to agree on commercial and technological cooperation schemes. Each participant will have a meeting schedule prepared before the event based on the information submitted on the registration form. However, they may also request meetings with other participants during the event.
