The Soja de Portugal Group signed the Charter of Principles for Sustainable Development of Business Council for sustainable development of Portugal. By adhering to the Charter of Principles, the group is publicly recognizing that the adoption of solid commitments to sustainability is crucial for a good company management. The document was signed by more than thirty Portuguese companies.
 
The Charter of Principles of BCSD Portugal is the reference document of the Business Council for Sustainable Development that establishes the guidelines for good company management. It was signed by more than thirty Portuguese companies and it encourages the organizations to adopt their own principles and extend them to the entities of their value chain.
 
António Isidoro, chairman of the Board of Directors of Soja de Portugal, said that the joint undersigning by several companies of the Charter of Principles of BCSD Portugal “reveals that the Portuguese business network is committed to this project at a national level and recognizes the importance of investing in sustainable business management, that is a competitive factor that needs to be recognized and encouraged”. The Group’s CEO admits that sustainability relevance is increasing throughout the value chain and clients. To promote the principles of sustainable management, the Soja Portugal Group has invited simultaneously its clients and suppliers to undersign this document.
