At its 2006 Miami board meeting IFFO decided to become a member of the China-British Business Council's launchpad scheme aimed at organisations wishing to establish a presence in China.
During June CBBC and IFFO interviewed candidates for the post of project manager at CBBC's Beijing office. As a result William (Wenpu) Jin was appointed; he started on July 31, 2006.
He is a graduate in International Business from Beijing Foreign Studies University and moves from the Canadian Embassy where he was a chief interpreter. William Jin will receive his initial training from IFFO in the UK during August before returning to Beijing.
