Skretting Chile has just published its second sustainability report, covering the company’s operations in 2014. It is the only fish feed company to produce a country-specific report.

\"The group publishes a global report and in parallel, some of its companies also generate a document with specific information on their activities and local performance, as in the case of Skretting Chile, a sustainability report in the country,” said Gabriel García, General Manager of Skretting Chile.

“Food is an essential link in the value chain for salmon and other farmed fish, which requires sustainable management and transparency from all the stakeholders at local and international level,” she added.

Globally, Skretting is the third largest shrimp feed manufacture and supplies 32 percent of the world’s salmon feed.

The report looks at:

Management of natural resources such as energy and water, plus emissions, waste, odors and noise

Sustainable nutrition solutions for diets that optimize environmental and economic performance

Animal health

Alternatives to resources of marine origin

Sustainability of raw materials and advances in quality and food safety

Staff and stakeholder relations
