The Soy Aquaculture Alliance has named Bridget Owen as executive director of this national organization. She succeeds Dr Steven Hart, and takes up her post on August 24th, 2015.

Owen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both aquaculture and the soybean industry to her new role. She has previously worked at Novus International and the national Soybean Research Laboratory, where she managed the American Soybean Association’s Global Aquaculture Program.

“The Soy Aquaculture Alliance has accomplished a great deal in supporting aquaculture in the United States and I am honored to be joining this excellent organization. I look forward to working with dedicated boards, the soybean farmers, soy organizations and our aquaculture partners, in supporting US aquaculture and its growth and success,” said Bridget Owen.

SAA was developed to ensure a safe supply of affordable seafood for America and an abundant supply of the soybean ingredients for the aquaculture feed industry.
