Torleif Abrahamsen has been awarded the Medal for Long and Faithful Service to Skretting AS by the Royal Society for Development at a special ceremony attended by many prominent guests.

\"Torleif has worked for Skretting for more than 50 years. Not only has he demonstrated immense loyalty and commitment to the business in that time, he has also consistently shown a peerless understanding of the feed market. One of his greatest talents is his ability to see issues from the customer’s perspective and to deliver the appropriate business solutions. It has been a genuine honour and a privilege to have worked with him\", said Erlend Sødal, Managing Director of Skretting AS.

Abrahamsen, now 70, retired in October. He started working for Skretting in 1960 when he was 17. Over the 53 years that followed, he has played a pivotal role in the company’s development of feeds and feed delivery systems. His most recent position was Director of Project Development.

He said that Skretting’s business philosophy is the same today as it was in 1960.

\"We must always have faith in what we do, believe in our products and work closely with our customers. We must continue to maintain a high level of innovation and always be committed to delivering products of the highest quality”  Abrahamsen said.

The Medal for Long and Faithful Service is awarded to employees in Norway with 30 years service with the same employer. The medal was established in 1888 and represents a tradition of strong values and a lasting testament to the recipient\'s efforts and impact within their field of expertise.
