Skretting Zambia to build country's first aquafeed plant

Nutreco and African Century Foods (ACF) have entered into a 75/25 joint venture in Zambia, Skretting Zambia, for the production, sale and distribution of tilapia feed. The agreement is subject to regulatory approval. The joint venture will construct and operate the first dedicated fish feed plant in Zambia. Skretting is Nutreco’s global brand for aquafeed.

Pacific anchovy fishing suspended off Pisco

The Ministry of Production (Produce) announced the temporary suspension of fishing activities for Pacific anchovy (Engraulis ringens) and longnose anchovy (Anchovy nasus) in an area of the central region of the Peruvian coast. The ban affects small and larger scale artisanal fishing vessels.
